This sparkling cocktail is elegant enough to serve at a dinner party, yet light enough to enjoy at a brunch get together.
By the time Christmas rolls around, I am already feeling stuffed from Thanksgiving and all the comfort food we’ve been enjoying in the crisp cool weather.
Holiday cocktails always seem to include something rich and creamy. As much as I love to sip on some spiked egg nog, I desire something light and fresh to complement all the special Christmas recipes I make this time of year.Pear vodka is so crisp on its own, but when paired with fresh rosemary, the scent becomes so alluring and inviting. I love any cocktail with fresh herbs. It adds such a special touch to the palette and the eye.
Topped with sweet bubbly champagne, this cocktail will stun your guests with its elegance.
Once the holidays pass, I just call this Pear Tree. It’s too good not to enjoy beyond Christmas.
Looking for another cocktail that uses fresh herbs? Off the Vine is beautiful drink with roasted black grapes and earthy sage muddled together to get this festive color. Do you use herbs in your cocktails?

- 2 oz Absolut pear vodka
- ½ oz fresh lemon juice
- ½ oz simple syrup
- Champagne to top
- Rosemary sprigs for garnish
-
Place one rosemary sprig in a tall champagne flute.
-
Combine the Absolute pear vodka, fresh lemon juice and simple syrup in a shaker with ice.
-
Shake well and strain over the rosemary sprig until the glass is half full.
-
Top with sparkling champagne and garnish with a rosemary sprig.
Do you have a recipe to make this in a large patch (aka like a punch bowl size…)? And what would you do with the fresh Rosemary then?
Sweets make Champagne and sparkling wine taste bitter. If you are having bubblies in your gathering, serving it with salty or crunchy snacks is a good option. People who eat cake and drink bubbly always find the wine terrible. Pairing wine with the right food is part of good dining and drinking experience.
Pear vodka is a favorite around here; it’s s refreshing! I love how you turned it into this festive cocktail. I’m definitely saving for Christmas this year 🙂 Thanks!

I am a Vodka girl. Have not tried the Pear but I will have to. Plus side is I already have the bubbly. Love making fun signature cocktails for guests and will have to add this to my list.
