Herb and White Wine Chicken Thighs

Enjoy these juicy chicken thighs browned and then baked in a delectable mix of fresh herbs, white wine and garlic for a quick weeknight family meal.

Ingredients

  • Family pack of skin on and bone in chicken thighs
  • olive oil
  • Desired amount of fresh mixed herbs like sage thyme, rosemary and parsley
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 cup white wine
  • splash of cream
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 300°.

  2. Sprinkle the chicken with salt and pepper.
  3. Prepare the herbs by giving them a rough chop.
  4. In an oven-proof cast iron skillet, heat the oil and fry the chicken until the skin is golden brown on both sides.

  5. Remove the chicken from the pan and add the garlic and allow to fry for a minute.
  6. Pour in the wine and scrape the bottom of the pan to deglaze.
  7. Add the herbs and cook for a minute.
  8. Add a splash of cream and stir to combine.
  9. Add the chicken and its juices back to the pan and bake for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
