Ingredients

  • 3 ounces gin
  • 1 ounce simple syrup
  • 2 slices grapefruit cut into 1/4" slices with rind removed
  • 2 slices lemon cut into 1/4" slices with rind removed
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger minced
  • tonic for topping off
  • ice

Instructions

  1. To a tall glass or cocktail shaker, add grapefruit, lemon, and ginger. Top with the simple syrup and gin.

  2. Muddle until ingredients have broken down and begin to combine.

  3. Add ice to the glass, cover, and shake vigorously for a minute.

  4. Fill another tall glass with ice. Using a strainer, pour the mix over the ice.

  5. Top with tonic.

  6. Garnish with fresh sliced ginger. Sip and enjoy!

Recipe Notes

This makes a tall, stiff drink. Reduce gin to 2 ounces and increase the tonic for a more traditional gin and tonic mix.
